APEDA has been entrusted with accreditation to function as a Single Window for the clearance of perishable produce. The coordination is required for Single Window Clearance of regulatory agencies (performing Core functions), other regulatory agencies (performing non-Core functions), shipping agencies (performing through self-declaration), and regulatory agencies like APEDA. Agmark, EIC, and DGFT.
A) To regulate services, charges, and fix terms and conditions for exporters of perishable agricultural produce.
B) Prescribe criteria for accreditation of Nodal Agencies
C) Accreditation, renewal, modification, suspension, or cancellation for such agencies
D) Levy of charges for carrying out activities
E) Calling for information, undertaking inspection, conducting enquiries and investigation, including audit
F) Specifying forms and manner, and which books of account to be maintained
G) Application of information technology towards seamless and paperless one-stop export certification services
H) Providing advisory services to exporters, APEDA is functioning as a Single Window Clearance for the export of grapes to the EU vide DGFT Notification.
All the stakeholders’ labs, NRC for referral, Agmark for standards, and Department of Plant Protection (NPPO) are interlinked through a Single Window for export certification, testing, and issuance of the Phyto-sanitary Certificate (PQMS).

In view of the above, exporters are facilitated for the issuance of Registration cum membership certificate RCMC (integrated with DGFT) and export of perishable commodities, grapes, peanuts, meat, and organic products so far. The integration of all other perishable commodities is being worked upon in association with stakeholders and industries, exporters, and as per the regulations of importing countries.
